Each of us has a different reason for making a shift in our business. Here is my personal story.
Last year after masterminding with our agents about what tech needs they had for their business, I started searching for tech tools. I wasn’t looking for a franchise. I was looking for ways to make life easier for our agents. In fact, what I wanted to accomplish was a streamlined, fully integrated back office solution to help minimize the time our agents were spending creating marketing pieces and fiddling with the computer. We wanted to free up their time so they could spend it with their clients.
Late one night while solution searching (fancy word for surfing) I ran across this little orange dog. I thought the marketing at the company was very clever. I smiled to myself and went to bed.
The next morning, I woke up thinking about that silly orange dog. Did I just have dogs on my mind because we were potty training a new puppy? I smiled again and went happily off to my day.
A week later while doing more solution searching, I saw more orange puppy! I found out that his name is Luke and that he belonged to a real estate franchise, NextHome. I couldn’t stop thinking about him.
I scheduled a discovery call with Charis, one of the NextHome CEOs. I found out that NextHome had already put together all the tech I was looking to supply for my agents.
At this point, I was sitting on the fence…but I was still thinking about Luke.
I was determined to DO IT MYSELF. Afterall, I live in Utah- a state full of Do-It-Yourselfers. Why did I have to join a franchise? I would figure it out eventually! But when I sat down to recreate the platform, I found that I just didn’t have the energy. I had to admit that nothing I could do on my own would ever beat Luke. And that is the moment that Rod and I made the decision that changed our future.
